Today, the vast majority of staff have been working from home, thank you to everyone for responding so well to these new working conditions!
When working from home please make sure you have made contact with your service head to let them know where you are and what work you can get on with while you’re away from the office.
We also need to make sure that staff considered particularly vulnerable to coronavirus should be at home, whatever their role.
Vulnerable people include people over 70, pregnant women and people with underlying health conditions. The NHS advice is that if you are normally advised to get a flu jab, then you are part of this group.
Again, if you’re not sure, please talk to your Head of Service.
In the meantime, both council offices are still open, including to the public. We are reviewing this position and it may be that the offices are closed to the general public in the near future.
We’ll keep you updated when there is anything new.
